Not £300 but £298 Free Money in April 2024. Grrrr. So close. That is £173 over the £125 monthly target so I guess I can let myself off the hook this time only. I have been comfortably beating targets for four consecutive months which reflects in a monthly earnings average of £228. I am now two thirds into my annual objective having reached £912 already. £588 more will make me a happier man.

Bank rewards. Council Tax break sadly came to an end. The good thing is I am getting an extra £2 cashback from direct debits and that takes me back into nominal values as regards to bank perks from £16 to £18.

Interest on Savings. £10 is not a lot but it is a gain nevertheless. I am relying entirely on my ability so save here and even though fixed sums are committed every month, I am starting to feel that £100ish more by the end of the year will be hard to deliver. We will see as we go.

Bank Switch Promotions. £200 from switching to Ulster Bank. Straight up find. Smooth switch. Immediate reward payment. As it is traditionally the case, I will elaborate on the relevant post. For the time being, I am capturing the earnings for the record. £200 objective for this Free Money Stream has been reached. Box ticked off.

Decluttering Sales. I got new phones for my kids for their birthdays in April. As a result, old ones will be up for sale. I sold the first one of them within hours of being listed. An iPhone 7 in pristine condition left behind £47 in profit. Tech items are always hot, particularly from certain brands. £322 from decluttering so far, £178 more to go. I am determined to not missing on my £500 goal.

Cashback. I keep spending using my AMEX and collecting cashback from it. This month I accrued £23. No need to make an effort, it just happens. In addition, other transactions are being tracked in my TopCashback account but they are in the process of maturing. £282 from cashback alone or £68 away from my £350 annual target. Easy, easy Free Money.

That’s it. First quarter is in the past. I am content with £1,500 but should I keep this performance for the remainder of the year, I would be on track to beat the £10,000 mark. I am going to try to get myself there.
