Really glad with my earnings in February 2024. I made £210 Free Money thanks mostly to some decent decluttering sales. £162 from sales is much more in tune with what I am accustomed to. All in all, is £85 pounds over monthly target bringing the monthly average to £215.
My personal preference is to keep my nose ahead so that I can tick boxes as soon as to then relax or target additional goals. 2024 looks promising not only because I made nearly one third of the Free Money annual target already but because I have plenty more on the way. Lots are going on behind the curtains and I am just too busy to throw it all in the Blog at once. I will make sure though that all my activities are captured on the relevant posts for the record. Fact is, the more and longer I do this, the more enjoyable it becomes. Particularly, when the sums in the fund are important enough to provide with interesting growths of £25 to £30 pounds per month.
Bank rewards. February should be the lowest month due to Council Tax direct debits break. I do quite like these breaks but the result is that I will not be getting as much cashback from direct debits as expected in comparison to a regular month. I had to settle for a £16 combined figure from all bank accounts.
Interest on Savings. Just ticking along. Saving regularly and collecting interest is my plan and I will not deviate from it. £8 does not seem like a lot but it is in alignment with the maths projection.
Decluttering Sales. Five items sold on eBay. It was long due and I finally got some relevant cash from my junk. I will allocate a post solely to this event as the earnings, price tags and number of items are deserving of it.
Cashback. Nice to collect cashback from regular spending I will incur into regardless by using my AMEX credit card. 5% cashback in all spending is limited to the first £125. From then on, it will be cut down to a 1%. I am already in 1% territory. It is £134 cashback just from spending in January and February. That’s great and I wonder why it did not crossed my mind early? I take it as part of the learning curve as this a journey of discovery.
That’s it. £429 made so far and £1,071 to go. This train never stops. I’ll catch up with you at the next checkpoint. Tada.
